Using elements of the city as seen from the window, we sought to bridge the relationship of the storefront and the pedestrian on the street. The installation is viewed from the sidewalk, but is a history of looking out. The viewer sees transfigured views of multiple vantage points layered upon one another, depicting gestures of forms both seen as reflection and from within the gallery. Some elements are fixed and can be extracted by the viewer, although with some challenge due to the viewer’s parallax. Other elements were ephemeral, recorded only in passing. Altogether, we sought to capture a sense of the rhythm and energy of the Penn Avenue city-scape as seen from Future Tenant
